Radnja ove trodjelne serije počinje kada Joyce Reardon, profesorica psihologije, krene istražiti prijave o paranormalnim pojavama u Rose Redu, staroj i ruševnoj vili u Seattleu.
Prema legendi i većini fizičkih dokaza Rose Red je čini se "živi" dokaz u kojem je čak i nameštaj raspoređen shodno energiji kuće. Također, sa vilom su povezane i brojne misteriozne smrti, za koje Joyce veruje da je odgovoran duh Ellen Rimbauer, poremećene supruge arhitekta koji je projektirao Rose Red.
Odlučna u namjeri riješiti misteriju vile, Joyce poziva četiri vidovnjaka da prespavaju u vili preko vikenda, nadajući se da će uspjeti primiriti Ellenin duh...
