Nakon poraza demonskog gospodara Hadlara, sva čudovišta su oslobođena njegove zle volje i preseljena na ostrvo Delmurin da žive u miru. Dai je jedini čovjek koji živi na ostrvu. Odgojen od strane dobrodušnog čudovišta Brassa, Dai sanja da odraste i postane heroj. Postaje jedan od njih kada je Hadlar uskrsnut, a prethodni heroj, Avan, dolazi da trenira Daija da pomogne u borbi. Ali Hadlar, najavljujući da sada radi za još moćnijeg gospodara demona, dolazi da ubije Avana. Da spasi svoje učenike, Avan koristi čaroliju Samopožrtvovanja da napadne, ali ne uspijeva pobijediti Hadlara. Kada se čini da su Dai i Avanov drugi učenik Pop osuđeni, na Daijevom čelu se pojavljuje oznaka i on iznenada dobija supermoći i uspijeva se odbraniti od Hadlara. Dvojica učenika zatim kreću na put da osvete Avana i vrate mir svijetu.
