„Elfen Lied“ je japanska ZF horor triler-drama manga i anime serija. Elfen Lied se odvija oko međusobnog odnosa između ljudi i izmišljenih Dicloniusa, mutantske rase koja je identična ljudima izuzev dva tupa „roga“ na glavi te „vektorima“, nevidljivim rukama upravljanim telekinezom koji su u stanju uništiti objekte na daljinu. Glavna je junakinja Diclonius djevojka koja je odbačena od ljudi te je zbog izloacije i rezigniranosti postala agresivna.
Priča obrađuje različite teme, kao što su otuđenje, identitet, osveta, zlostavljanje u djetinjstvu, transhumanizam, ljubomora, iskupljenje i dragocijenost čovječnosti.
