Lloyd Christmas a Harry Dunne se seznámili hned první školní den. Bok po boku od té doby čelí nástrahám školního systému a života vůbec. Brzy se však budou muset postavit většímu nepříteli, než jakým je jim vzdělání. Ředitel školy Collins a jeho přítelkyně Hellerová chtějí Harryho s Lloydem zneužít, aby na jejich úkor získali grant ve výši 100 000 dolarů na otevření speciální třídy. Jenže přechytračit blbého a blbějšího je úkol i nad síly zasloužilého a mazaného ředitele. Obzvlášť když se na jejich stranu postaví půvabná reportérka školního časopisu Jessica Matthewsová.
