Apokalyptické vyobrazení války, hladomor a utrpení. Děsivá mračna se stahují nad zemí. Temnota povstala a s ní hrůzné kreatury s obrovskými černými křídly a děsivými tvářemi. To ďábel přichází, aby na zemi nastolil svou vládu. Tu najednou temnotou zazáří paprsek bílého světla. Je to světlo archandělů, kteří se postaví tváří v tvář zlu s mocným mečem božím a zahájí tak boj za duši jednoho starého muže a osud celého lidstva. Sázka je uzavřena - všechno nebo nic. Získá fausta a celou zemi ďábel nebo faust a celá země zůstane v milosti boží?
