Film Patton je portrétem jednoho z nejgeniálnějších válečníků dvacátého století, který získal v roce 1970 celkem 8 Oscarů. Jeden ze získaných Oscarů patří Georgovi C. Scottovi a to za jeho triumfální ztvárnění George Pattona, jediného spojeneckého generála, kterého se nacisté skutečně obávali. Charismatický Patton, který sám navrhoval vlastní uniformy a nosil šestiranovku se slonovinovou rukojetí věřil, že v minulých životech byl válečníkem. Vymanévroval Rommela v Africe a po Dni-D vedl své jednotky v nezastavitelném tažení napříč Evropou. Jak byl brilantní, tak byl odbojný a dokázal svými schopnostmi , že jeho nestálá osobnost byla jednou z největších zbraní, kterou nepřítel nedokázal nikdy porazit.
