Kdo by neznal Pepka námořníka, slavnou postavičku amerických kreslených grotesek, které bavily několik generací filmových diváků. Na stříbrné plátno se však Pepek vrátil také v hrané podobě, ve skvělém podání známého komediálního herce Robina Williamse. A samozřejmě tu s ním jsou další známé postavy půvabná Olive Oyle, kapitán Bluto, Swee´pea a Wimpy. Pepek a kapitán Bluto spolu bojují o lásku Olive, ale teprve, když mořský vlk spořádá pořádnou dávku špenátu, aby doplnil síly, podaří se mu Bluta přemoci a společně s Olive vykročí vstříc blaženému životu.
