V Budapešti natočený přepis stejnojmenné klasické Rostandovej hry, napsané podle skutečné postavy fantasty, bouřliváka a snílka, ze kterého autor udělal romantického hrdinu, trpícího komplexem kvůli velkému nosu, fanfaróna a platonického milence Roxany, kterou okouzlují jeho listy, podepisovány ale jménem krásného Christiana. Velkolepě inscenovaný příběh natočený v realistickém duchu zachovává veršované dialogy. Risk vyšel díky perfektnímu výkonu G. Depardieua, ocenit hodno i dalších herců, promyšlenou režii, dobrou výpravu a kostýmy.
