Rokenrol nikdy nezemře. Životní příběh zpěváka Ritchieho Valense. Třetího února 1959 se zřítilo letadlo, na jehož palubě byli mj. známí rokenroloví hudebníci Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens a Big Bopper. Toto datum je dodnes označováno za den, kdy zemřela hudba. Americký film La Bamba vypráví životní příběh mexického chlapce Ricarda Valenzuely, který se pod uměleckým jménem Ritchie Valens stal jednou z rokenrolových hvězd. Jeho zářivá kariéra netrvala ani šest měsíců, stačil natočit pouze tři hity (jedním z nich byla právě La Bamba, rokenrolová verze mexické lidové písně) a zemřel ještě před osmnáctými narozeninami - jeho hudba však přetrvala.
