Mladá Noriko se příkladně stará o svého starého otce. Příbuznými je ale přemlouvána k tomu, aby se řádně vdala a měla již vlastní rodinu. Noriko svatbu ale odmítá s poukazem na nutnost péče o otce. ke svatbě nakonec dojde pod laskavou otcovou domluvou, který se po svatbě vrátí do opuštěného domu...
