Tato komedie je dalším snímkem, překvapujícím svou tematickou a vizuální agresivitou a opět spjatým s hudebním žánrem. Téma tolerance k sexuálním menšinám je nepochybně jedním z nejzávažnějších prvků, prostupujících filmové příběhy posledních let. Ve snímku režiséra Stephana Elliotta má toto téma provokativně výstřední podobu. Hrdiny svérázného road movie jsou dva transvestité a jeden transsexuál, kteří se ze Sydney vypraví v rozhrkaném autobuse s ženským jménem Priscilla přes poušť do australského vnitrozemí, aby v městečku Alice Springs účinkovali se svou show. V ní muži tančí v excentrických ženských kostýmech na populární hity ze 70. let. Cestou se trojice setkává s nejrůznějšími lidmi; jen někteří jsou však ochotni jejich odlišnost akceptovat.
