Hrdinové, či spíše antihrdinové této surrealistické absurdity jsou lapeni v honosném domě v blíže neurčeném místě a čase. Z domu uprchlo služebnictvo a zůstává jen skupina elitních hostů. Ti hodují, výborně se baví a cynickými dialogy prozrazují svou zvrácenost. Po večeři se nikdo nemá k odchodu -práh místnosti jako by se stal nepřekročitelnou neviditelnou barikádou. Hosté zůstávají v domě. V přepychu trpí nedostatkem základní potřeby - jídla - a krizová situace snímá masky jednotlivců...
