Na začátku filmu přepadnou indiáni na válečné stezce skupinu bělochů, a pobijí je. Potom se v dostanou v saloonu dva vojáci kavalerie do křížku kvůli barové dívce DALLAS (Ann Margret), a navzájem se zabijí. Jelikož je jí smrt mužů dávána za vinu, rozhodne se Dallas druhý den odjet dostavníkem z města.
