Od událostí své poslední cesty se Williamu "Billovi" S. Prestonovi Esquire a "Tedovi" Theodorovi Loganovi z rockové kapely Wyld Stallyns dosud nepodařilo napsat prorokovanou píseň, která by sjednotila svět. Po neúspěšném poradenském sezení manželů se svými ženami se Ted svěřuje Billovi, že nevěří, že by někdy napsali onu píseň. Kelly, dcera Rufuse, přichází z budoucnosti, aby vzala Billa a Teda zpět na setkání s Velkým vůdcem, který jim řekne, že mají tu noc do 19:17 večer napsat onu píseň, nebo se realita zhroutí.
