Ústřední filmu je detektiv Metropolitní policie Yoshitaka Nishi. Jeho žena je již dlouho vážně nemocná. Během její návštěvy v nemocnici se Nishi dozví, že jeho dlouholetý přítel a partner Horibe byl postřelen v akci, na které ho měl Nishi krýt.
