Argentina, prosinec 2001. Skupina přátel a sousedů v čele s bývalým fotbalistou Fermínem se rozhodne dát dohromady všechny své úspory na zemědělský projekt v jejich městečku. Den poté, co peníze uloží do bankovní úschovy, se bankovní systém v Argentině zhroutí a oni tak o všechno přijdou. Jak brzy zjistí, nejsou jen oběťmi ekonomického kolapsu země, ale byli napáleni bezskrupulózním právníkem a manažerem banky, kteří se rozhodli využít situace ve svůj prospěch.
