Thriller o studentce filmové fakulty, která si jako téma diplomové práce vybrala násilí v audiovizuálním průmyslu, je prvním filmem tehdy 23letého španělského režiséra Alejandra Amenábara. Angela v té chvíli ovšem ani netuší o existenci tzv. "snuff" filmů. Svět, ve kterém se nedopatřením ocitne, se před ní otevře ve chvíli, kdy je v projekční místnosti nalezen jeden z jejích profesorů - shodou okolností vedoucí její diplomové práce - mrtev. Angele se dostane do ruky kazeta s filmem, který pan profesor sledoval těsně před svou smrtí. Ve chvíli, kdy ji vkládá do videa, ještě netuší, že se stane svědkem něčeho strašnějšího, než si kdy dokázala vůbec představit. A že po stejné kazetě už pátrá někdo jiný. Někdo, pro koho je důležitější než cokoliv jiného a kdo se nebude ohlížet na nic a nikoho. Bude mít Angela dost důvtipu a duchapřítomnosti, aby unikla?(oficiální text distributora)
