Texas. Den energiske, men naive Dignan drømmer om at lave tyverier og overtaler sine to venner Anthony og Bob til at være med. Efter en vellykket røveri mod en lille boghandel tager de ud på et hotel ved grænsen, hvor Anthony bliver forelsket i stuepigen Inez.
