Her er den morsomme og spændende historie om den lille skovdue Valiant, der melder sig som frivillig til Brevduekorpset under 2. Verdenskrig. Sammen med sine nye venner bliver han sendt til en træningslejr, hvor livet ikke er lutter fuglefrø, for træningen er meget hård. I starten kommer rekrutterne hele tiden galt afsted. Men snart er de klar til at fl yve ud på deres første mission. Det er farligt, men Valiant viser, hvad han duer til, narrer fjendens frygtede Falke-eskadrille og bliver en vaskeægte Royal Air Force-helt.
