I slutningen af 1800-tallet styres Mexico af penge, magt og korruption. Sara er datter af en rig bankmand, og Maria er vokset op blandt fattige landmænd. De har intet tilfælles, før Tyler Jackson fra New York Bank and Trust slår brutalt ned på begge deres familier, fordi det amerikanske togbanenet skal udvides til Mexico. Forenet i en fælles hævnaktion går de to piger i gang med at røve samtlige Bank and Trust-banker i hele regionen. Og snart kommer selv Tyler Jackson til at frygte de to smukke bankrøvere, kendt i hele landet som "Las Bandidas".
