Jeffrey Hunter virker simpelthen utroligt overbevisende i rollen som Jesus. Filmen omhandler hele Jesus liv,
lige fra han bliver født til korsfæstelsen, og vi oplever undervejs mange helbredelser og andre gode gerninger.
Filmen er utrolig flot filmet, og musikken er simpelthen mageløs storslået og flot. Musikken er i øvrigt skrevet af Miklos Rozsa, som
også bl.a har skrevet musikken til en anden flot kristendomsfilm, nemlig Ben-Hur fra 1959. Hvis man kan lide storslåede bibelfilm, bør man absolut se denne film.
