”Mit liv som Squash” er en børnefilm om drengen Squash, der ender på børnehjem efter sin mors død. Her møder han en gruppe børn, der alle hver især har haft en hård opvækst. Børnene danner hurtigt et bånd, og selv bøllen Simon tør op. Squash får også et godt øje til den seje pige Camille, hvis frygtelige tante truer med at fjerne hende fra børnehjemmet.
