En canadisk diamantmine bryder sammen. En gruppe minearbejdere fanges i minen med meget lidt ilt. Sammen med to andre lastbilchauffører begiver Mike McCann sig ud på en livsfarlig mission for at bringe boreudstyr til minen, inden det er for sent. De må køre deres enorme lastbiler tværs over smeltende ismasser for at nå frem. Men Moder Natur langt fra den eneste fare, der lurer.
