Tre forskellige fortællinger udfolder sig i den travle by Tokyo. Merde, en mærkelig kloakboer, kommer ud af en brønd og begynder at terrorisere fodgængere. Efter sin anholdelse står han for retten og slår ud mod en fjendtlig retssal. En mand, der har affundet sig med et liv i ensomhed, ombestemmer sig efter at have mødt en charmerende pizzabud. Og til sidst gennemgår et lykkeligt ungt par en række skræmmende forvandlinger.
