Auf dem Rückweg von der Beerdigung seiner Mutter überfährt der Polizist Gun-Soo (Lee Sun-Kyun) versehentlich einen Mann, der sofort am Unfallort stirbt. Um den Vorfall zu vertuschen, fasst Gun-Soo einen riskanten Entschluss: Er versteckt die Leiche im Sarg seiner verstorbenen Mutter. Einige Tage später taucht das Verbrechen trotz allem in der Datenbank der Polizei auf und ausgerechnet Gun-Soos Partner wird mit dem Fall betraut. Nach und nach scheint er seinem Kollegen auf die Schliche zu kommen. Und als wäre dies noch nicht genug, wird Gun-Soo plötzlich auch noch von Chang-Min (Cho Jin-Woong), dem einzigen Zeugen des verheerenden Unfalls, mit Drohungen konfrontiert, auf die schon bald lebensbedrohliche Taten folgen...
