Yang Kai-yun führt ein unauffälliges Leben als Besitzerin eines kleinen Gasthauses. Als eines Tages bekannt wird, dass sich ihr Onkel, der berühmte Peitschenkämpfer Fan Cheng-tian, auch bekannt als "die Schattenpeitsche", bei ihr versteckt, erscheinen schon bald mehrere Männer, die ihren Onkel des Mordes und des Raubes bezichtigen und sich deshalb an ihm rächen wollen.
