Der eiserne Akhandanand Tripathi ist ein millionenschwerer Teppichexporteur und der Mafiaboss von Mirzapur. Sein Sohn Munna ist ein unwürdiger, machthungriger Erbe, der vor nichts zurückschreckt, um das Vermächtnis seines Vaters zu erben. Ein Vorfall bei einer Hochzeitsprozession zwingt ihn, auf Ramakant Pandit, einen angesehenen Anwalt, und seine Söhne Guddu und Bablu zu treffen. Daraus entwickelt sich ein Spiel aus Ehrgeiz, Macht und Gier, das das Gefüge dieser gesetzlosen Stadt bedroht.
