Μια επίλεκτη ομάδα στρατιωτών έχει ως αποστολή να ταξιδέψει πίσω στη Γη, για να εξιχνιάσει το μυστήριο που κρύβεται πίσω από την εξαφάνιση δύο εκ των μελών της. Εκεί, θα ανακαλύψουν πως το Stargate, μια αρχαία μηχανή με την οποία μπορούν να ταξιδεύουν σε εκατοντάδες πλανήτες, δεν έχει ακόμα ανακαλυφθεί, με αποτέλεσμα και η δική τους ιστορία να έχει σβηστεί. Τώρα θα πρέπει να πείσουν την κυβέρνηση και τον στρατό πως η ροή του χρόνου έχει αλλοιωθεί από έναν παντοδύναμο εξωγήινο εχθρό, που έχει σκοπό να κατακτήσει τη Γη! Θα πρέπει όμως να βιαστούν προτού είναι πολύ αργά...
