Μετά από μια μακρά θητεία στη θεραπεία μετατροπής ομοφυλοφίλων, ο Τζέιμς, ένα νεαρό θαύμα του πιάνου, επιστρέφει στο σπίτι στο οικογενειακό του αγρόκτημα και στον συναισθηματικά απόμακρο πατέρα του, Ρίτσαρντ. Αφού ο Ρίτσαρντ πιέζει τον Τζέιμς να εγκαταλείψει τη μουσική του καριέρα και να αναλάβει τη φάρμα, ο Τζέιμς συμφωνεί ως ένας τρόπος να επανορθώσει για το παρελθόν του.
