H σειρά ακολουθεί τον Martin Rauch (Jonas Nay), ένα νεαρό κατάσκοπο μπλεγμένο ανάμεσα σε δύο κόσμους, που αποστέλλεται από την Υπηρεσία Πληροφοριών της Ανατολικής Γερμανίας (HVA) για να ανακαλύψει τις στρατιωτικές προθέσεις του ΝΑΤΟ. Τοποθετημένος απέναντι σ’ ένα ένθερμο πολιτικό συναίσθημα και την απειλή του πυρηνικού πολέμου, ο Martin πρέπει να εγκαταλείψει όλα όσα ξέρει για μια νέα μυστική ζωή στη Δύση. Αλλά τίποτα και κανείς δεν είναι όπως φαίνονται. Κάθε φίλος είναι ένας πιθανός εχθρός. Κάθε εχθρός μπορεί να είναι χρήσιμος. Και το διακύβευμα δεν θα μπορούσε να είναι υψηλότερο.
