India, 1850. Robert Case, un oficial mestizo del cuerpo de lanceros bengalíes, al servicio del su majestad en el ejército británico en la India, es degradado y condenado a prisón bajo una falsa acusación de cobardía: la de haber abandonado a un compañero herido en acción de guerra. Case decide escapar cuando Eli Khan, el cabecilla rebelde de una tribu enemiga, le ofrece asilo, el cual acepta dada su difícil situación. Case se convierte en el estratega del rebelde y comparte con él diversas escaramuzas. El objetivo principal es ahora el acuartelamiento de Fort Kandahar, uno de los principales asentamientos del ejército británico en la India (FILMAFFINITY)
