"استیو واکر" (جونز)، بهعنوان مربی تیم دو و میدانی کالج شهر به گادولفین میآید و در مهمان خانه "ریش سیاه" اتاق میگیرد. مهمانخانه را چند پیرزن اداره میکنند که خود را نوادههای یک دزد دریائی مشهور به "ریش سیاه" میدانند. پیرزنها برای بازپرداخت مبلغ رهن مهمانخانه مشکل دارند و با کمک معلم کالج، "خانم بیکر" (پلهشت) مجموعهای از اجناس عتیقه را حراج میکنند.
