Hylätty pieni Myrsky-kissa löytää sateisena yönä suojapaikan ystävällisen vanhan taikurin kummallisesta talosta. Taikojen talo on täynnä erikoisia vempeleitä, hassuja eläimiä ja eläviä leluja. Talossa pitkään asustaneet Jack-kani ja Maggie-hiiri eivät ole innoissaan uudesta huomiota saavasta Myrskystä. Taikurin joutuessa tilapäisesti sairaalaan, joutuvat taikojen talon asukit kuitenkin yhdistämään voimansa suojellakseen taloa taikurin ilkeältä veljenpojalta, joka juonittelee myyvänsä talon.
