Dokumentti kohtaa Film Noirin tässä hämmästyttävässä tositarinassa, jossa on kaikki trillerien yllätykset ja juonenkäänteet! 1994 13-vuotias poika katoaa jälkiä jättämättä kotoaan San Antoniossa, Texasissa. Kolme ja puoli vuotta myöhemmin hänet löydetään elävänä etelä Espanjasta. Hänet oli kidnapattu ja kidutettu. Perhe iloitsee saadessaan pojan takaisin kotiin. Mutta kaikki ei ole niin kuin näyttää. Pojan tuntomerkit täsmäävät, mutta miksi hänellä on outo aksentti? Miksi hän näyttää hieman erilaiselta? Ja miksi perhe ei välitä näistä erilaisuuksista? Kun tutkija alkaa esittämään näitä kysymyksiä, niin outo tarina saa vielä oudomman käänteen.
