Makoto Misumi on tavallinen lukiolainen, joka elää normaalia elämää, mutta yhtäkkiä hänet kutsutaan tuonpuoleiseen maailmaan tullakseen "sankariksi". Koska Makoto tulee eri maailmasta, hän pystyy vapauttamaan käsittämättömiä maagisia voimia ja taistelutaitoja. Mutta miten hän aikoo selviytyä kohtaamisistaan eri lajien kanssa ja selviytyä uudessa ympäristössään. Tässä fantasiassa Makoto yrittää muuttaa toisen maailman paremmaksi paikaksi, vaikka ihmiset ja jumalat ovat kääntäneet hänelle selkänsä.
