סוביבור היה אחד משלושת מחנות ההשמדה שנבנו על ידי הגרמנים במזרח פולין בתקופת מלחמת העולם השנייה. זהו גם האתר שהתרחש בו מעשה גבורה חשוב - ניסיון הבריחה של 600 מאסירי המחנה שנידונו להזין את אחיהם לתוך הכבשנים. כרבע מיליון הושמדו בסוביבור, 300 הצליחו להימלט.
