לאחר שהפרק הקודם ("נשיקות גנובות") הסתיים באירוסין, הפרק הנוכחי נפתח בחיי הזוגיות הזעיר-בורגניים של אנטואן וקריסטין. בדירתם בבנין משותף, עם שכנים טיפוסיים שקווי אופיים הבולטים משורטטים כאן בשתים-שלוש משיחות מדוייקות, עומדים שני האוהבים להביא יחדיו בן לעולם. אך אף שלכאורה עומד התא המשפחתי לקבל צורה מוצקה, מתקשים השניים לייצב את הזוגיות שלהם. לפתע מתאהב אנטואן ביפנית חביבה, ונאלץ שוב, לא בלי עזרתה של זוגתו, לגשש אחר מקומו בעולם. טריפו מגיש מבט אוהב ומחויך על גיבורו הצעיר, בן דמותו.
