Zastrašujući razbojnik iz 19. stoljeća, Cobra Verde probija se kroz Brazil dok ne stigne na plantažu šećerne trske Don Octávia Countinha. Ne znajući da je njegov novi gost zloglasni razbojnik i impresioniran njegovom nemilosrdnošću, Don Octávio unajmljuje Cobra Verdea da nadzire njegove robove. No kada Cobra Verde oplodi Don Octáviove tri kćeri, bijesni vlasnik plantaže protjera odmetnika u Afriku gdje se očekuje da ponovno otvori trgovinu robljem. Nakon svog transatlantskog putovanja, Cobra Verde iskorištava plemenske sukobe kako bi zauzeo napuštenu tvrđavu i tjera vojsku golih ratnika u bijesnu žeđ za krvlju dok se bori za preživljavanje.
