U dalekoj budućnosti ogromni zabavni parkovi su jedna od najpopularnijih vrsta zabave. Koristeći najmoderniju tehnologiju znanstvenici su kreirali mini svijetove sa temama iz ljudske prošlosti. Jedan od najpoznatijih parkova je Westworld, u kojemu gosti mogu istraživati divlji zapad, zabavljati se sa lakim damama i boriti se u, uvijek namještenim, dvobojima. No kada se dogodi neočekivani kvar gosti se nađu zatočeni u parku koji je prepun poludjelih robota. Martin (Richard Benjamin), jedan od gostiju parka, morati će dati sve od sebe kako bi preživio napad robota revolveraša (Yul Brunner).
