Lucky Prescott nije upoznala svoju pokojnu majku Milagro Navarro, neustrašivu jahačicu kaskaderku iz Miradera, malog grada na Divljem zapadu. Poput svoje majke, Lucky ne mari puno za pravila i ograničenja, čime svojoj teti Cori zadaje puno briga. Lucky je odrasla u gradu na istočnoj obali pod Corinim budnim okom, ali kad pretjera s opasnim nestašlucima, Cora odluči da se presele u Miradero, gdje živi Luckyin otac Jim.
