Odrastavši bez roditelja mladić Ting (T. Jaa) našao je zaštitu u budističkom samostanu u jednom tajlandskom selu. Redovnici su ga odgojili u miroljubivom duhu, ali ga i podučili drevnoj obrambenoj vještini muay thai koju nikad ne smije koristiti u napadačke svrhe. Međutim, selo se nađe na meti trgovca drogom Dona (W. Siriput) koji u korist mafijaša Khom Tuana (S. Phongwilai) odluči ukrasti kip Bude čiji nestanak seljanima pretkaže zlo. Stoga Ting krene u Bangkok kako bi pomogao svojim sumještanima i na vrijeme vratio sveti predmet.
