Az egyik vagány, a másik balfék. Ami mégis összeköti őket az a betegségük: mindketten gyógyíthatatlan rákbetegek. Martin és Rudi a kórházi szobában találkoznak. Miután megtudják, milyen sors vár rájuk, egy üveg tequilába fojtják bánatukat. Elhatározzák, hogy fityiszt mutatnak a világnak, és sorra veszik a sebtiben összeütött bakancslistájuk tételeit: megnézik a tengert, luxusautót vezetnek, két nővel szeretkeznek egyszerre. Meglépnek hát a kórházból, és úgy piásan, pizsamában ellopnak egy régi Mercedest. Az autó azonban két morcos gengszteré. Martin és Rudi egyre nagyobb bajba keveredik.
