Film Ambulance mengisahkan William Sharp, veteran perang, yang membutuhkan uang sebesar US$231 ribu untuk biaya operasi istrinya. Kesulitan finansial yang dihadapinya membuat Will memutuskan menjadi perampok. William lalu menghubungi Danny, saudara angkatnya yang merupakan seorang penjahat. Danny mengajaknya terlibat dalam perampokan bernilai US$32 juta di sebuah bank besar di Los Angeles. Dengan berat hati, William menerima ajakan tersebut.
