Jubei Kibagami è un ninja vagabondo che salverà Kagero dalle grinfie di Tessai. Kagero infatti era stata presa prigioniera da Tessai, dopo che insieme ad altri ninja, Kagero era stata mandato a svolgere delle investigazioni nel villaggio di Shimoda.Tessai, una volta che Kagero riesce a scappare per continuare le sue indagini, vuole a tutti i costi prendere Jubei per vendicarsi dell’affronto subito ma alla fine verrà ucciso proprio da Jubei. Questo porterà ad avere diverse conseguenze sulla vita di Jubei.Ninja Scroll, di Yoshiaki Kawajiri è un onesto film d’azione.
