Odile arriva a Cannes dove sarà presentato il suo ultimo film, un horror mediocre che non suscita alcun interesse sulla Croisette. Nel frattempo però un serial killer comincia a provocare il panico, uccidendo uno dopo l'altro i proiezionisti incaricati di proiettare il film di Odile. Il fatto è che l'assassinio uccide con gli stessi strumenti usati nella pellicola, e cioè una falce e un martello.
