Danila torna a casa dopo aver militato nell'esercito russo. Visto che la vita al paese è priva di prospettive, l'anziana madre lo convince a recarsi a San Pietroburgo dal fratello Viktor. Sembra infatti che costui abbia fatto fortuna. Ben presto Danila capisce che Viktor è un killer al soldo della mafia e subito si schiera al suo fianco. Soprattutto quando viene a sapere che il fratello è nel mirino di un boss che vorrebbe eliminarlo.
