Nel dicembre 1983 i Talking Heads si esibiscono al Pantages Theater di Hollywood. Jonathan Demme riprende il concerto e lo trasforma in un evento cinematografico (è il primo film musicale a impiegare la registrazione digitale in presa diretta) dove le canzoni della band newyorkese si fondono a una scenografia sviluppata in movimento. David Byrne è il primo a entrare in scena.
Edizione da collezione per il 40° anniversario di Stop Making Sense disponibile in Blu-ray HD standard o 4K UHD con HDR, suono in Dolby Atmos e mix stereo originali del 1984.
