Santiago del Cile. Orlando, un ultracinquantenne imprenditore tessile, ha una soddisfacente relazione con Marina e intende festeggiarne il compleanno con un viaggio alle cascate di Iguazu. La sera della ricorrenza ha un malore in seguito al quale cade dalle scale di casa. Marina lo porta all'ospedale e avvisa il fratello che sopraggiunge. Orlando è deceduto e Marina viene invitata dalla ex moglie a tenersi lontana dalle esequie e dalla sua famiglia. Non perché sia l'amante ma perché è una transgender.
