Lovely Singh (Salman Khan) viene assunto come guardia del corpo di Divya (Kareena Kapoor) per proteggerla dai sicari che le danno la caccia per vendicarsi a causa di suo padre che è un politico.
Lovely è molto devoto al padre di Divya perchè ha salvato sua madre in un incidente e senza di lui non sarebbe nato.
Ovviamente la giovane donna non vede di buon occhio questa sua scorta che l'accompagna ovunque ed inizialmente Lovely sarà un po' lo zimbello di Divya. Col tempo però i sentimenti cambieranno e tra scherzi, situazioni comiche emergerà il lato romantico della storia.
