Pierre è un ballerino a cui viene diagnosticata una grave malattia cardiaca; deve attendere il trapianto ma non è affatto certo che sopravviverà. Sua sorella si trasferisce da lui per assisterlo, insieme ai suoi tre figli senza padre, e fa la spesa al mercato di quartiere, dove i fruttivendoli sono in piena schermaglia amorosa.
